AFORESTATION
Last year Pinkcity Jewelhouse decided to include an exclusive green space in their renovation plans. Through this plan, a total of 450 trees were planted around our factories. More green areas will be created continuously so that they can reduce our carbon footprint and attain carbon neutrality.
GREEN ENERGY
Solar Energy Generation: Last year we used 455 MwH units of solar power, which is 90% more than the 239 MwH we produced in 2020. That is equivalent to planting 11,000 trees and nearly 400 tons of CO2 emissions saved from entering the atmosphere.
EMPLOYEE HEALTH
The jewel house ensured a safe working environment during the toughest of the COVID-19 conditions for their team. They were proactive to in-house double-vaccinate over 1200 staff and contract workers even before the vaccinations were available to the public.
4-FOLD INCREASE IN FEMALE WORKFORCE
Up until last year, they had a total of 26 women working in our 3 units combined. As of today, there are 102 women training and working in various departments of the factories. That is a 450% jump from last year. Pinkcity Jewelhouse wishes to continue employing more women going forward into future.
RECYCLING WATER
Using a state-of-the-art water treatment plant, they have reused 90% of water consumed in Unit 2 of our Sitapura production facilities. More than 7,500 liters of water are filtered and reused in gardening, solar-panel cleaning, and other non-production cleaning processes. They plan to introduce this procedure to our remaining 2 facilities.
EDUCATION FOR ALL
Over the last 7 years, Pinkcity Jewelhouse has been funding JAGRITI Charitable Organization. After equipping the first school in the city, this year we adopted a new school near our Mahapura Factory. This model school will be spread across 5 acres of land with special infrastructure focusing on sports and extracurricular activities.
A HELPING HAND
As the Covid-19 spread throughout the country, they supported JAGRITI Charitable Organization and NGO Share and Serve to distribute essential ration to 3,000 underprivileged families.
GOOD FOOD, EVERYDAY
Free nutritious vegetarian lunch is provided to over 700 hundred employees at our SEZ factories. The meal is prepared at our inhouse kitchen by trained professionals who follow strict hygiene guidelines.
